Candles In The S.U.N. (Save Ur Neighborhood) knows that our strength lies not only in the words we stand by, but most importantly through the actions of our initiatives through education, mentorship and co-curricular activities.
Our Non-Profit Organization realized that by uniting together we can advance our communities and overcome the challenges faced by families and youth in intercity neighborhoods. It is important to uplift ur neighbor and shine ur light by being a blessing.

At Candles In The S.U.N., we are dedicated to stepping up our efforts in creating learning experiences, programs and activities for families and the youth to enjoy. Expanding the mind and stepping outside of your comfort zone is by no means an easy feat, but through cooperation and community empowerment we believe we can facilitate progress in this area. We are always striving to make a difference, and invite you to learn more and lend your support.

Mentorship
With this initiative, our goal is to promote great opportunities for those in need. With access to the right resources, people can become empowered by their own abilities and gain the confidence to fulfill their potential. Learn more about our work by getting in touch with our team today.
Healing Circles
Our unique circles have been successful at impacting youth of all ages and backgrounds. Heroes hosting circles, are there to be presently impactful, while providing a space to be seen and heard. Please check out the trailer below, from our third through eighth grade circles where we discussed their thoughts and feelings on the Buffalo mass shooting.
Providing Food, Resources, and Mental Wellness Support
Holidays with the Heroes, we decided to focus on providing meals more so than toys, because how cool is a toy on an empty stomach? With the help of our sponsors, The Neighborhood Heroes delivered more than 250 meals to Buffalo Public School families Christmas Day.
After feeding the families, we went to visit our friends at the NFTA Bus Station to distribute the remaining meals!
Heroes Kitchen
Offering youth an opportunity to experience the culinary world like never before! In collaboration with Delaware North and Snob Sweets, Jr Hero Chefs will spend 8 weeks preparing dishes in Key Bank Center's commercial kitchen!
